Venezia!

After Munich, Sarah and Randy departed for St. Louis and the rest of us embarked on a six-hour car trip to Venice, Italy. Unfortunately, we only had one day there and it was rainy and cold the whole time. The awful weather hardly detracted from such an aesthetically amazing city, though. It was odd to go straight from hustling & bustling, industrialized Munich to the laid-back river culture of Venice. After hundreds of years of water corrosion, the building facades on the Grand Canal are beautiful in a deteriorating-sort-of-way, if that makes any sense. And the food was just insane...I guess you can't really beat eating pizza and pasta in Italy, though. I would seriously go back just for the food. Anyways, here are some photos:
